Iām having a difficult time getting a multiple tool job to run through completely without some sort of error. Mostly after measuring the new tool, the spindle moves to start location but never spins up. gSender throws different errors at different times, 5, 8 and 13 being the most common. Have to stop the job, then go and repost the file in Fusion 360 starting with that operation. Z zero is generally off at that point as well, and have to re-zero Z. At times I need to reboot the spindle to get it to spin again. Very frustrating making the jobs take way too long to complete, especially when I need to sun the same job multiple times. gSender 1.4.9, 1.4.10 was having with Fusion360, so went back to 1.4.9. I see they just posted 1.4.11 so will try that.
@jsulley Welcome to the group.
It would help others to help you if you provided more information
- What CNC machine are you running?
- What controller are you using?
- What post processor are you using in Fusion 360?
- What spindle are you using?
- Iām assuming that you did not have this problem in gS 1.4.9. After you installed 1.4.10 and had the problem, and reverted to 1.4.9, did you follow the instructions on this site to rename .sender_rc?
- Are you having this issue with all files?
Machine is the Altmill with the SLB and Sience spindle as shipped. GRBL post processor in Fusion 360. I have had this issue from day one with all files that have a tool change. On a rare occasion, it will run the job from start to finish with all tool changes, but very rarely and the odd part is I will run the same job 5 or 6 times and its one of those that runs complete. Not always hung up on the same tool.
