Spindle Traveling the Wrong Way on X Y

Maybe a stupid question, but shouldn’t the spindle travel in a clockwise direction? I dont mean the bit travel, which is spinning clockwise, I mean the X Y travel. It spins counterclockwise no matter what bit is loaded.

For example, if I program a 3” circle clearance, the head travels counterclockwise. This seems Weird to me and negates the type of bit in there. What am I missing? Thank you. I’m using Carveco.

Thanks for any help.

@Windlasher You should look into the Carveco docs on climb cut vs convenational. That setting determines the direction the spindle travels in.

I just found a good video explainer. Thanks for that. Something else to learn on this adventure. Thanks again.
