Stepper motors now making rhythmic noises when moving

I had some kind of connection issue? Started getting error codes 3 and 33.
Restarted, flashed and upgraded to 14.1. Now using a new usb cable.
Motors flipped, no problem. speeds are crazy fast and every time I change them they go back to stupid fast. Gantry wont move. Everything locks up. at slower speeds it makes a rhythmic flicking kinda sound as the motors turn. Please advise!

Hi Eric,

Some aditional information might come in handy.

What machine and what controller are you using.
What did you upgrade to 14.1 and what was the version before?

Have you looked into the problem solving faq in the sienci resource pages?

(Asuming you have a mk2.)

I have a MK2 30x30 it is 3 yo and I have never had this kind of issue. I upgraded from 14.0 . After slowing down the feed rate of the 3 jogging speeds it is functional, i think , but it still makes the rapid clicking noise on jogging

Going to asume a few things.
Your controller is the basic longboard that came witn the machine.
The thing you upgraded is the g-sender software to v1.4.10

The things that changed on that version that may impact jogging is:

  • Jog no longer sends double jog commands on touch devices
  • Updated defaults on MK2, MK1, and Mill One profiles

Are you jogging via a touch /remote device?

I have never upgraded past version 1.2.2 for that version does all I need and does that well and when I am left with the choise to upgrade software on equipment that is working fine, I will not. So I can not realy help there. Except maybe…

You can try to reinstall your old version of g-sender, to see if that helps with the clicking sound?
