I would like to be able to surface from the centre of any workpiece. If the workpiece has four corners, the options to begin the surfacing from any corner is sufficient.
Where the object to be surfaced is an irregular shape, I will always machine from my measured or calculated centre. Given that one can jog to any point on the workpiece, could a surfacing command be provided and invoked from the jogged position? Thank you
Thanks for the request - this is actually something we have in the works for the surfacing tool, along with some other improvements such as ramping in and reversing cut direction. No timeline specifically, but it should appear over the next few releases.
