T Tracks purchase stuck or held up in Concord Canada

Anybody else experiencing delivery no shows of their purchase lately. I have been told I would receive delivery status on my package now for 4 days and all I see it is at their facility in concord Canada ? Hope to learn more soon !

UPS was supposed to deliver my GControl unit on Friday. The status has now changed to something along the lines of ‘we will tell you more when we know more’.
I am hoping for delivery on Monday (knock on wood)

I was about to ship a small package to a friend in the US by UPS last week. I had been reading about hold ups of cross-border UPS shipments, so I called UPS here locally to get more info.
The issue seems to be that, in the order that Trump signed to put tariffs on everything coming from Canada, he included the removal of the de minimus rule. That rule allows any shipment valued at under $800 US to cross the border duty free and with no customs formalities. With the removal of that rule, companies like UPS would be forced to complete the “normal” customs paperwork on all these small value shipments. According to the person that I spoke to, they were holding shipments in Canada until they could determine what the rules are. Trump delayed the imposition of the tariffs for a month, but UPS seemed unsure whether that delay included the removal of the de minimus rule.

Please note that I have not taken any political position here. I have merely reported the facts as they concern the actions of President Trump and UPS. Political posts are not acceptable here. Thank you.

Well its been 8 days since the ups people started juggling my order and still no answers from them accept in transit… Sort of stuck like Chuck until it shows up if it does…

wish you good luck but its Tuesday now

@Jens I see that you posted in another topic about your gControl. Glad that you got it.

Yes … but it has some issues. Thankfully Sienci has indicated that they will send a replacement unit. I was pleasantly surprised how readily they agreed to replace the unit - kudos to Sienci!!!

11 days and still no delivery. Still in Canada even though its been paid for I guess I better think twice when purchasing from outside the states…

@Rowjr Have you seen this on the UPS site

" Due to recently implemented tariffs resulting in changes to the U.S. import declaration processes, shipments from Canada to the U.S. may experience delays. The UPS Service Guarantee has been suspended effective February 04, 2025, and until further notice, for all UPS delivery services to the U.S.

Contingency plans are in place to help ensure that shipments arrive at their final destinations as quickly as possible."

No sir but thanks… Just been waiting so I can move forward with my cnc. It is what it is as they say

@Rowjr I can sympathize. Clearly, there is nothing that Sienci can do about this. I seriously doubt that the uncertainty is going to go away any time soon. I expect that the couriers will figure out a way to keep things moving, though.
