When I milled my AltMill 4x2 base table (AltMill 4x2 GOAT-style baseboard - VCarve & g-code files), which was larger than the altmill’s 4x2 working area, I used vcarve tiling and rotated the base table 90˚
This let me put holes near the left and right X edges because after rotating, they now were on the Y axis and could be tiled.
The trade off is registration and precision in the tiling operation…
