Scratching my head on this one. This is a new build and I’m on the electronics install step. I’ve tried installing UGS on two separate computers, and I have the same issue. When I connect my computer to the controller I get a positive connection. I’ve changed all the jogging step settings as indicated and have all four lights on the controller. No matter what I do “Alarm” posts and I cannot move the machine either via direct input of an X/Y/Z input, or by jogging. I’ve confirmed the wiring is tight on all connections and there is no binding on the machine.
I don’t know why the machine position is showing so far off and I cannot figure out how to reset it to zero. When I zero out the location it moves the machine to those inverted positions. I’m guessing the lack of movement I’m having is associated with this.
I thought so too. I woke up in the middle of the night and figured out what was going on. Now if I can just figure out how to send a Spindle On/Off command from UGS to the board I can start working on wiring things up to my VFD! M05/M03 don’t seem to do anything.
