I’m no expert on this – as a matter of fact my Longmill MkII is supposed to arrive later today so I don’t have any direct experience with it – but I think the issue may be this command in the 4th line of the G-Code:
G28 G91 Z0
That is a homing command which should send the router to “machine home” not the workspace home where you’ve zeroed the XYZ positions. Unless you have inductive sensors, to home the machine at each startup, I believe machine home is set to wherever XYZ is when the machine is powered on/reset (unless it’s has been set with a G28.1 command).
In Fusion 360 there used to be a setting in the post processor setup that allowed you to turn on and off G28 Safe Retracts
How can the G28 call in certain post processors such as GBRL post processors be disabled for Fusion 360, HSM or HSMWorks? In the PC environment, select NO in the scrolling menu after the post processor is selected. In the Mac environment,...
but I believe that dialog box has changed now and you can now only select between G28, G53 or Clearance Height safe retracts. The Clearance Height setting seems to make the most sense in this case since it’s based off the workspace zero.
I hope to have some actual experience with the Longmill in the next week or two so if this is all off base, my apologies. Hopefully someone else can chime in with more certainty.

@Diesel that’s some pretty insightful help from someone who’s yet to receive their machine! It definitely feels like it’s relevant to what I’ve been experiencing. I will add this to what I’ve received so far for my weekend foray. I will update this log tomorrow. Cheers

I had the spindle below the table in the Kinematics tab. But it is now set up correctly.

@Diesel - I’ve created a new project and will try it with my machine properly ‘homed’. I do have inductive sensors and I’ve run the homing cycle. Will now attempt the new project.

PROBLEM SOLVED!
Homing was key. And so was having the machine Kinematics set up as: X Linear > Y Linear > Z Linear > Spindle > then Table at the end. I had Table and Spindle reversed before.
I am so happy to finally be able to start using this thing. Good to know I learned so much along the way.
