Hey. I am looking into possibilities for connecting a Pibot pendant to the SLB using pins 38 and 40 on the GPIO header. Has anyone looked into this to use with gSender? It has WiFi capability, but I’m not sure if it will connect to gSender. Still waiting for pendant to arrive, then I can start doing some tests.
@ovendenk I believe that @siganberg used the Pibot for his pendant. Check him out on Facebook or YouTube (user Francis Creation). He uses it for his Altmill so it should work with the SLB-EXT. But he also wrote his own sender (ncSender) so I’m not sure if it will work with the current version of gSender.
Yes, my firmware version talk directly to ncSender through USB or Wireless USB dongle so it doesn’t need to be connected to the controller board. But it only works with ncSender as consequence.
Yep, I’m familiar with ncSender, I’ve been playing around with both it and gSender. It’s a pretty awesome sender for sure. I know there’s Pibot firmware that works with ncSender available for purchase as well. Still fairly new to my Altmill and looking at different options. I like to explore what’s possible, just wasn’t sure if anyone had looked into this

Looks like he has it working on a tablet.
I’m currently using Touch Portal on an old smart phone I had. There’s no feedback (i.e. current coordinates) but it works well to control movements and perform other tasks that have a keyboard shortcut.
