Vcarve raster roughing pass

I dont like Carveco’s roughing toolpath for vcarving which is an offset. Would prefer an option to do a raster for smoother finish. Is this a normal thing in other programs or other Carveco versions? Or am I missing something? I have been doing an extra raster clearance toolpath with an allowance. Gets a good result but I am bound to mess that up.

@Clt49er I don’t know Carveco at all. I use VCarvePro. It would seem that the terms of different between the two. VCarve does not have a roughing toolpath for vcarving. It does have a clearance feature where you can use an end mill to clear out the main waste before you use the vbit for the detail work. Raster and roughing don’t work together in vcarve. Roughing toolpaths are for 3D model carving. Raster can be chosen for the finishing toolpath on a 3D model or for pocketing.
