Vectric PhotoCarve

Looking at purchase of Vectric PhotoCarve. Tried the photos on the trial and one of my own (with watermarks). They all look great in ugs and gsender but the bit takes off in wrong direction then comes back and does a deep dive into workpiece.
Two Errors come up each time
Error 1 on line 1 expected line letter
Error 20 on line 6 unsupported command
Is there a fix?
Am I doing something wrong?
Waiting on a reply from vectric as well.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

@Johnohara As a start, what post processor are you using? For best results, you should be using grbl mm.

thanks for the response
gsender 1.1.7 and started with ugs to control Longmill.
grbl.mm is for Metric (assuming) is it similar to the other two?

@Johnohara One of us seems to be confused here - and it’s me. :grinning:

  1. Are you using gSender or UGS to control the LongMill. You can’t be using both at the same time.

  2. grbl mm is the post processor that you select in your Vectric software when you create your toolpaths. You can design everything in inches if that is easier for you. Using the metric post processor leads to more accurate cuts.
