Vortex A-axis wobbles

As I try to get my Vortex Rotary set up I have a question. Should there be play in the a-axis assembly.

While testing the Vortex, I noticed some play in the a-axis when I insert a dowel and tighten the dowel in the jaws, the end of the dowel will move.

Taking the guard off it appears the movement (wobble) goes all the way thru the shaft to the point the shaft enters the bearing.

To check on whether I assembled the parts correctly, I took the assembly apart and put it back together. The result was the same.

Is this play (wobble) with tolerance?

Thank you for the repsonse. I have sent a request to the service team.

I did take the head unit apart and reassemble it and the issue persisted.
