XML import to gSender

Hi Sienci team,

I was just digging through my old files and found the cnc mogul xml file for migration to Mach 3. Is any of that information useful?

Thanks,

Nathan

Could you clarify the XML file you have Nathan?

Hey,

The .xml file is used by Mach 3 to store your machine parameters, work envelope, steps per inch, etc…The mogul arrived with a .xml file be to installed in the correct directory (I forget which) in order to get the machine basically operational. I still had to set soft limits and tune the stepper motors.

Here’s a quote from avid CNC

“XML configuration files provide an easy way to set up Mach3 to work with our various hardware and electronics packages.

While some tweaks may be required for your particular setup, these files will get you most of the way there. Any changes you make to the Mach setup can be saved to the XML file using the Config->Save Settings menu selection.”

I’m not a great Mach3 operator. I found it a bit boggling to be honest. So perhaps I’m the wrong person to ask. I’ve done more and had more success with gsender and the SLB. But I hope that answers your question.
