I’m using Version 1.4.11 and even though I have my Z-touch puck dimension set up in the settings, it does not comp for the thickness of the probe. When I go to run my program, my tool is above the part by about the thickness of the probe. I can touch off manually with a piece of paper and everything runs as it should. What am I missing here?
@DIJANAB89 A belated welcome to the group, Dee. I apologize for the delay.
What machine do you have?
You’ve put your post in the SLB category. You are running a Sienci SLB controller, correct?
Are you using the standard Sienci touchplate?
I see. My post is actually in the wrong area. I misunderstood what Super Long board means. No I’m not running this controller. I’m just running g-sender from my PC to my anolex cnc. Can you send me the link for the correct board please?
@DIJANAB89 I’ve moved your topic, Dee. I looked on the anolex site but I could find no specs on the touchplate. Do you have a link
Thanks for the help. It’s one like this-
@DIJANAB89 I don’t see any dimension specs. No worries. I assume that you measured it with a caliper, correct?
In gSender, you have selected “z probe” from the “touchplate type” drop down menu, correct?
Correct. The probe measures .762 or 19.35 mm. I set that in the probe height offset, use the M6 standard re-zero tool change wizard, and it does not compensate for the height of the probe. If i touch off using the paper method it’s fine.
