Z setting with prob

I am using the Shapeoko BitZero on a Shapeoko CNC.
Problem:
When I set the XYZ with the prob, then check the Z 0 setting it is low by 1/4 inches and the Z goes up and hits he mount.
If I just set the Z with the prob everything is fine, check the Z 0 and it is spot on. Z goes up to the same spot as when it is Homed.

check probe settings and make sure they match your touch plate. Sounds like the setting is different.

I measured the block with good digtal calipers and entered it in the prob settings.
My work around is do the XY and the do the Z. This works fine but it should work with the ZXY.

@Bill-Tx Can you post the settings and the log for the XYZ probe here? I think something is off.
Specifically, this.
@KGN Why 3x retract+ probe thickness here?

The prob settings are: Z Thickness .867, XY Thickness .278, Length 2.363, Width 2.363.

The stock is .748.
