has anyone had the need to adjust (remove slop) from the y-axis ball screw nut? I looked for the backlash removal adjustment in the manuals and handbook with no luck. If anyone has adjusted the slop out, how did you do it?
thanks for the help,
Mark

The whole idea with ball screws is that they do not have backlash. If you are experiencing backlash of any significance you have either a worn screw or a worn ball srew nut. In either case, replacement (of both) is the answer.
(at least that is my understanding of things)
Just to add - have you verified that the nut is properly attached to the carriage? Is there any slop in the screw assembly?
