Auto touch plate throws an error 2 immediately after z height

@reidcustoms good news…sort of…

I’m able to reproduce your behaviour. You might want to post it as a bug for 1.5.7

So I did a full reset of the defaults in config.

Closed gsender, restarted everything.

Homed machine. Zero’d everything.

When I typed in my typical X/Y coordinates to send the machine to my usual touch point spot. It immediately threw an Alarm 2. (43 x -583).

Closed the alarm, re-homed.

Sent it to the same coordinates… worked fine.

And this time the touch plate worked completely fine…

w. t. f. ?

@Chucky_ott

Really? That’s crazy… It’s always worked pretty bang on except for the time I had the wrong corner set :stuck_out_tongue:

@reidcustoms it works if I start at x45. It fails if I start at x42. So somewhere between 42 and 45 would be my guess.

ok that makes pretty good sense cause i usually type in my zeroing coordinates after i home/zero at 43

This time i was just manually jogging and was around 40ish so that must be it!

Good to know it wasn’t me for a change!!!

@reidcustoms create a new post under the gSender bugs section and reference this ticket. It works at x43.5 so the sweet spot is somewhere below that.

@reidcustoms And when did you upgrade to 1.5.7 and is this your first zero off that corner since the upgrade. If not your first zero, maybe you were above the 43.5mm starting point.

just checked looks like im still on 1.5.4

So I changed my spoil board over the weekend, and I’m closer on the Y axis now and it’s throwing the same alarm in the same way… assuming it is the same issue.

When my Y starts at like -598 it works on the XY no problem, if i start it somewhere below -600 it throws an alarm 2… I’ve reported the bug on the X will update the ticket for Y.

it’s somewhere between -608 (fails) and -602 (works).

It’s a pain cause I want to zero off that left hand corner and -602 doesn’t get me over the zero point of the auto touch plate so i have to do an X/Y and then a Z height.
