Changing the size of the visualiser in Gsender

Hi All,

new user. Quick question that I have not ben able to find a an answer to. Can you change the dimensions of the visualiser bed in G Sender? Not from MM to In but the actual measurements.

Thanks
Josh

Hi Joshbear,

I have worked with gsender thinking what you see is what you get. It turned out you can juggle around with the imager pretty much as stated in this section on g-sender.

I don’t think the size of the imager screen in gsender is costumisable (I can have that wrong too, though), but maybe you don’t need that if you can virtually look at what’s in the imager from every angle and as zoomed in or out as you need it to be.

Thanks. That helps. The bit I want to change if possible, is the grid measurements that are 110MM by 110MM so when I have a project with is bigger the projects sits beyond the grid. I know it still works but I just wondered if the 110MM by 110MM can be changed. Have posted an example here.

thanks
Josh

Hi Joshbear,

I am not in my shop atm so cannot test things that pop up in my head so maybe you can do this yourself. I feel as if the grid might be implemented by the dimensions set in your cad software.

Maybe it’s set to 110mm by 110mm and although you have elements outside the set workspace, the visualizer might not show the grid beyond that.

Again, this is top of my head and no way near accurate knowledge, for the top of my head is small, pointy, and far away.

What is your set dimensions in your cad software?

Welcome to the group @JoshBear!

Unfortunately I don’t know how to change it but I just checked on my machine and the grid extends to 1000mm.

I wonder if it is affected by the dimensions that are set in the firmware for machine size? It may be the case that you don’t use limit switches and thus had no reason to set the dimensions of your machine in the firmware.

This is just a wild guess on my part and it’s hard to say without knowing about your machine type and setup but it may be worth checking out settings $130, $131 and $132 in the firmware to see if they are smaller than your machine.

Thanks Both.

Will look into the firmware settings later.
