received a new SLB EXT as my original was having issues. As well as disconnecting towards the end. It was working fine for about a week and a half before it started disconnecting.
I wired the new SLB up as per the directions on since labs setup. connection held while warming up my spindle for 15 min. Started a simple carve, 1500 lines, disconnected on line 550. I used another new cable to connect the SLB to the Gcontrol computer. I have tried 3 different cables all with the same result. if anyone has a solutions it would be greatly appreciated as My ALTMILL is unusable like this.
Hey FC,
Welcome to the forum.
Sorry to hear you run into disconnects. I had my fair share of those and know first hand, they are pretty frustrating to deal with. I am taking you are connecting to your pc with a USB cable.
It might be that your windows power savings settings cause the usb to go to sleep after a set time. Have you looked into that?
About disconnects, the trouble shoot section for the altmill does not play around. It simply states to try and connect to the slb via ethernet.
If you are able, try that?
Hi FC,
I highly recommend trying ethernet hookup to see if your disconnections stop. Technical Manual - SuperLongBoard and in the meantime you could start a ticket with Sienci tech support
