Error 15 when jogging

I’m consistently getting an Error 15 when pressing the jog button while the soft limits are enabled. A single click works fine. This only happens when soft limits are enabled, even after homing. This happens on both gsender 1.4.11 and gsender edge. My controller is the super long board. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Same here. I have gSender 1.4.12 with a SLB. grbHal with Ethernet.
I just installed inductive sensors. Homing works fine.
I can use the four corner box to move the router to each of the corners. I can goto XY0.
I can single click each of the axis. But if I hold down the mouse button I get an Error 15.

$20 and $21 enabled.
$22 Enabled, Set machine origin to 0 = ON
$23 X only. (homing back left).
$24 50
$25 3000
$26 25 (no change)
$27 2.54mm

I’ve tried gSender 1.4.12 as well and have the same issue.

Seems strange that others aren’t reporting this as well.

Does Sienci monitor these forums or should I contact them?

Thanks!

Hi Christopner,

I’m a bit reluctant to barge in and start pointing things out I virtually have no knowledge about. I have no SLB, nor limit switches and have no soft limits set on my machine, so I prolly know less on the expected behaviour for machines that do than you, but who knows this might help.

The explanation for error 15 in the error list is this:

Found here:

I have looked up what settings might trigger this error and found these to be something to look at.

And finaly, maybe this setting is helpfull.

Chances are yall know about this and I am just yapping basics everyone with switches knows. If that’s the case, just ignore this post, smile and wait for the real smarties to help yall along.

Well, enabling $40 seems to fix it! Thanks!

I do get alarm 2 when using the quick travel buttons though.

I’ll give $40 a try tomorrow.
Tonight is my night to cook,
I’m BBQing a couple big rib-eye steaks :cut_of_meat:,
air-fryer baked potatoes and grilled tiny green beans.

Thank you for replying. It is great how we all support each other.

Hope it turns out well.

It’s nice to have a supportive community.

Not sure if this is related but I was having similar issues when I first installed the Inductive sensors. It turned out that I had the Hardlimits enabled ($21) when I didn’t have any physical limit switches. I turned off $21 and all was well again.

Doesn’t $21 need to be enabled for the inductive sensors to work?

There was an instruction in one of the Inductive Sensor videos where the speaker said that you needed to have it on but based on my experience and _Michael’s <see previous post> you don’t need to have $21 on to get the inductive sensors to work.

I’ll give it a try this evening.

Thanks for this. I received my sensors today only to get the error 15 while jogging. Disabling $21 did the trick for me and still allowed homing.
