Error opening port '192.168.5.1'

I am getting the error error opening port ‘192.168.5.1’ , when trying to connect through ethernet from SLB to Gsender (1.4.10). I don’t have a USB-C port on my mini, so hopefully eterent is the solution.

Connect to Machine values: 192.168.5.1 (Ethernet at 192.168.5.1:23)

I’ve seen a similar a topic and tried to set the IP address on my mini-fanless computer.
Could someone advise what these should be:
IP4 - YES
IP Address: 192.168.5.1
SUBNet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.6.255
Preferred DNS: 192.168.6.255
DNS over HTTPS: No

Your values differ from those in the SLB tech manual. Are you connecting directly or are you trying to connect through a router?

I’m no internet guru, but shouldn’t the slb be in the same range as the gateway.

@Spamming_Eddie No, the slb should be 192.168.5.1. I believe that his issue is that the nic in his computer should be 192.168.5.x. The x being anything other than 1. However, I’ll wait to see if he is trying to connect through a router or directly.

Yep, you were correct, I changed the adapters IP address to 192.168.5.2. This resolved the IP conflict.
