Expected Command Letter when trying a Move in gSender

I have a Longmill MK2 with the Super Longboard. Ever since I upgraded to their 1.5KW Spindle, I get a weird error in gSender (version 1.4.10).

Immediately after connecting to my Longmill/SLB, If I try to do a move (X,Y or Z) I get the error message

“ERROR 1 - Expected Command Letter”.

I acknowledge the message by closing it’s dialog box and then it never comes back as long as I don’t disconnect and reconnect to the SLB.

Has anyone else experienced this and and were you able to prevent it from happening?

Rob

Rob, I have similar issue. Mk2 and SLB, at first connect to gsender v1.10 try to jog get error #1, clear then all ok. I have tried connecting with both ethernet and usb issue persists. I have not looked into it further as it is just a minor annoyance and I think may be software related and if so would be beyond my capabilities. Perhaps a someone at sienci will see this and chime in.

@rblondeau @Mickus I have moved this to the gSender question category to give it a higher profile.

I frequently get the same message. I’ve not reported it to Sienci - as I likely should have - as it’s a minor annoyance that, once closed, allows things to continue.

Let us know if you’re still seeing Error 1 frequently on the latest version.

@KGN
Isn’t 1.4.10 the latest version? That’s what I’m on.

1.4.11 is the latest release.

@KGN
Ok, now I see it. It was just released 40 min ago and the main download link hasn’t been updated yet. It’s still pointing to 1.4.10. I had to go to the Historical downloads page to find it.

Version 1.4.11 has resolved this issue for me.
