Gsender 1.5.5 can’t connect via Etherne on MacBook

Hello,

Having trouble using Ethernet port to connect to gsender.

I’m using gsender 1.5.5 on MacBookAir using Ethernet to usb-c dongle. I can manually telnet to port 8989 but not the default port 23. I changed the telnet port on gsender to 8989. Rebooted the SLB and relaunched gsender but the dropdown in gsender still shows port 23 and from the error log that’s the port it is using while $305 returns 8989 which is the telnet port settings

The console shows connection error -65 message saying that EHOSTUNREACH 192.168.5.1:23

Question: is my setting of the telnet port to 8989 in configuration not going through or is there something else I should be doing?

Any help is appreciated

I am not a Mac/Apple person so take this with a grain of salt, but sounds like port 23 is being blocked by a local firewall or security rule. This would be where I would look on Windows or Linux based PCs at least.

For the SLB, if you changed the telnet port to 8989 but the drop-down still shows 23 then I would go back into the settings and verify that the Port change took & saved, if not repeat ensuring you submit the change.
