gSender 1.5.6 surfacing feed rate limited

Today I used the built in surfacing tool and set the initial feed at 100ipm.
When it was cutting I bumped it to 110%. IPM increased to 110.
Bumped it to 120%, IPM only increased to 118.110
Bumped it to 130, 140, 150, IPM stayed at 118.110

See attached photo.

@R.Portman For the Longmill, 118 IPM happens to be the limit for z. So maybe a bug in gSender in that it’s not using the x/y limit but the z limit? Assuming you have a Long mill of course.

Max cutting speed: 4000 mm/min (157.5 ipm) in X and Y, 3000 mm/min (118.1 ipm) in Z

@R.Portman, likely the limit is because that’s the maximum that the axis has been set to for your machine. gSender is not at all involved in determining what that maximum is, it’s strictly determined by the machine firmware. If you’d like to increase it, you’d need to go to Config → Motors, though be mindful that machine maximums are typically set to ensure that the hardware can keep up, so if you increase it too high the you might experience travel errors especially with open loop motors
