Howdy folks. Wonder if anyone has run into this with gSender.
New Altmill with SLB-EXT. Running gSender 1.5.7. I was only able to perform $$ once in gSender console to see my firmware settings. After that, I haven’t been able to get gSender to respond to that command or any other commands. After many tries, I finally got it to accept $X to clear all faults, but haven’t been able to do that since. The console remains blank regardless what I try to type into it.
I’m running an older version of gSender on my other machine and never had this issue. Is it a bug, or is it me? I’d revert back to the older version of gSender, but I’m not sure if it incorporates grblHAL.

While waiting, I can confirm that 1.4.12 incorporates Hal. I don’t know how much further back you can go.
Try power cycling your board and reconnecting. See if you get the same issue - at a minimum you should be getting system responses back after connection
