gSender Version 1.5.6

Version 1.5.6 when setting config ā€œautomationsā€ ā€œprogram endā€ panel with G53G0Z0.0 (or any other Z- value) causes Z axis to judder and clunk part way through the movement when invoked at end of program or when the Stop button is pressed. This setting and action invoked smoothly with Version 1.4.12

@Will.Sign.It Have you tried 1.5.7?

Just finished trying that now. I did not uninstall 1.5.6 prior to installing 1.5.7 however. Not sure if that makes any difference, but the unwanted behavior still persists. It does happen only when pressing the Stop button that is beside the Pause button. Programs end as expected and Z retracts without jerking and clunking. (I had to wait to reply as I can only reply a limited number of times)

@Will.Sign.It I’ve moved your post to the gSender Bug category. Since all was well with 1.4.12, it would seem to be a gSender issue.

Hi @Will.Sign.It, since we’re gearing up for a new gSender Main release I’m digging through older topics that fell through the cracks to see if the problems are now resolved on new gSender or gSender Edge versions, or if they still are occurring and if so then we’d like to fix them up promptly if we can.

If you can give any response in the next week or so it’d be greatly appreciated :+1:

Hi Chris, Thanks for revisiting this situation.

The problem persists in version 1.5.7

Recap: saving and enabling config automation ā€˜File stop/end’ panel with G53G0Z0.0 (or any other Z- value) causes Z axis to judder and clunk part way through the movement when pressing the Stop button located beside the Pause button.

The same Z command movement is executed smoothly when the running program ends, albeit there is a slight delay before the movement in the ā€˜File stop/end’ panel is invoked.

Regards, Steve.
