I’m surprised there is no category for the 1.5KW spindle with the H100 VFD, that came with my Altill. So I’m probably in the wrong place for this question.
My spindle quit spinning. It worked last week. I’ve made no changes.
The VFD display shows a blinking r00.0.
I always test it before running a program. It did not start. Tried reverse, no luck.
Unplugged it… you know the drill.
Anybody have any idea? Seen this before?
I’ve had this happen once and not saying it is the same situation but I power cycled my Spindle and restarted my SLB-Ext then it worked. I figured that the spindle controller just didn’t sync up with the SLB-Ext that time.

Just to re-iterate (and not saying this is related), the vfd has to be turned on BEFORE starting up the controller. It’s an easy thing to overlook.

You already taught me that lesson. Now I always start with plugging in the spindle, wait until it blinks, then Gsender, last the SLB. Connect using GrblHAL, Press red and twist, clear alarms, test the spindle. Go home first, go to X0,Y0 to run a job. Unless the spindle don’t spindle, which it ain’t.
I sent a note to tech support. They’ve been prompt before. (I submitted this reply and they said I typed too fast, wait six seconds and try again) (Me? Typed too fast?)
Fixed it! Okay, really Jason Kent, at Scienci Labs showed me what I did wrong.
Somehow, and I attribute this to divine intervention because I’m not smart enough to change settings; my $395 went from H-100, the spindle I have, to SLB something something, which I do not have. That one change got me running. Lets call this resolved.
