The Sienci touch plate is milled for material thickness of a 1/4" minimum. How do I set the xyz for material that is 1/8" thick (6061 aluminum) given that the touch plate is not usable. Thanks in advance.
You could use the touch plate to do the X and Y because it’ll still sit on the edge of 1/8 material. Zero out the X and Y.
Then manually move the z to the top of the work surface. I put a sheet of paper underneath the bit and move the bit down till I can’t pull the paper out. Zero out the Z.
