Jog speed options (Precise, Normal, Rapid) have no effect

Hi

I am using gSender, grbl and Arduino Uno for my CNC that I am building. I have wired the X and Y axes so far. I am trying to test the CNC and I noticed that the Rapid, Normal, or Precise options do not make a difference to the Jog speed. Regardless of which button (Rapid, Normal, or Precise) I click the jog speed is the same and very slow. I have not changed the default values for these buttons. Am I missing something?

The only thing that comes to mind is maybe the travel resolution isn’t set correctly. If it’s too low then the mill could move slowly and not as far as it’s supposed to. Also could be the maximum rate for an axis.

EDIT: If your building a DIY machine I would expect that a bunch of firmware settings would need to be set up.

Thank you. I shall look into that.

If I remember correctly I had to go into config and set the Precise, Normal, Rapid values under “Jogging Presets”. They were all set to the same values.
