the problem i am having is that my machine stops and then i have to reset it i believe it is from static
to mitigate this I have grounded the dustcolection the x axis the y axis and the z as well as the router
it is still happening i have had relays to run the dust colection in a 3 wire configuration so once it turns on it stays on as it some times just dropes out the output for cooling causing my router and dust colection to turn off and the program to continue causing broken bits and material
any help to prevent this would be greatly appreciated
its not disconecting from the computor it will drop out the flood output to the solid state relay the program will keep running but it turns off the router and dust colection causing destroyed work and bits
I am at my wits end i dont want to start projects because i dont know if it will stay running till the end
@GW123 Understood, Glen. I’ve deleted my post to reduce the noise.
What machine are you running?
If you are running gSender, what version
Is it doing this with all toolpaths? It’s a stretch, but you may want or review the gcode.
it dose it randomly its not a specific tool path i believe its static because any time i try to level any epoxy it happens verry frequently I am running gsender the latest version windows 11 computer is not going intonsleep mode at all it seems to be way worse in the winter
If you like to experiment, is it possible to make a box that fits your relay contraption, line the outside with one uncut sheet of aluminum foil and saaay, have your touch block rest on it and call it grounded.
See if that will improve your situation somewhat?
If it does, you can make a wee more professional lookin box, but this to me is a quick way to see if there’s static ruining your days.
@GW123 No worries, then. Sienci has only tested the ethernet connection with a static IP. I know some here have successfully connected through their network router. I’m grasping at straws to find a solution. I seem to recall someone here having some connection issues when connecting with a DHCP.
I don’t know if it’s a conection issue the program keeps running meaning the x,y,z keep running but the flood output will drop out turning off the solid state relay i turn turns off the router and dust colection then crashes causing missed steps or broken bits or destroyed project’s
If it’s only the things that get switched with the relay contraption that stop working, I would temp stop using it and install a manual switch to replace it for a while.
It sounds like your relay stuff isn’t as stable as it should be.
Maybe testrun it lighting a lamp or something, while your essentials run on a manual switch. See if imstalling filtering components at the puls relay input can mitigate fall off, andor a quickfix faraday cage I suggested earlier.
Don’t run it while depending on it staying on, because that’s clearly asking for problems.
When you say you have grounded everything what exactly is it grounded to? Are you sure the “ground” is actually grounded? I know I’ve run into 3 prong outlets and have found out the ground was not even connected.
I acualy connected it directly to the group d on the panel for the garage that is grounded to the house panel that goes to the grou.d rod and water piping
