Hello all,
I have been happily using my AltMill for a month or so. Yesterday when I turned the machine on, my macros (about 12 of them) were gone. None of them were overly complex, so I wasn’t too worried about it, but I’d rather not lose something greater in the future.
Today I downloaded the latest version of gsender, and lo and behold….. they were back again.
Anyone have any idea why this might have happened, or what I can do to prevent future disappearances?
I will back them up from now on, but I’d still like to know the ‘why did this happen’
thanks in advance!
Scott
@scottwhisler If you search the forum, you’ll find a few recent posts about the same thing. If I recall, the solutions was similar to yours. I.e. it will fix itself, lol
You can export the macros for backup as you say you have done. And I think the upcoming release of gSender will allow you to save them on a SD card on the controller.

Thanks Chucky,
in the future I will search the forums before asking.
I appreciate you responding.
@scottwhisler I’ll give a similar answer to @Chucky_ott in that it seems to have happened a couple times but not in a way that we’ve been able to trace down yet because they just reappear again before we’re able to gather more information. In either case, in upcoming versions we’ve made some more changes to hopefully reduce this from happening and are hoping that it does a good job of it
