Motor errors seemingly at random

Hey all. I’ve been working with support for a few weeks on this issue but wanted to see if anyone else has had a similar issue. My 2x4 Altmill occasionally will seemingly out of nowhere throw a motor error, doesn’t matter which axis they have all thrown error 10 at some point. It seems to only occur during the setup of a job before actually running the job.

Just last night I homed the machine without issues, sent the tool head to the front left quadrant, no problems. Then I pressed the jog button to go back right diagonally and immediately got motor error 10 on the x axis. I reset the SLB and toggled the estop, rehomed and then ran my job. I’ve run 4+ hour carves on my machine and have never once had an error in the probably 15+ hours of carving the machine has completed. The motor errors only appear to occur when manually jogging and often after stepping away from the machine for a bit.

If this sounds like behavior you have also seen please let me know. The machine otherwise cuts great and is super accurate. Thanks!

Hello. Mike here. I just finished setting up my AltMill 2x4 and get the same problem. I get an error 10 code or an error 1 code. Can move the gantry along the Y axis but the Rt. rear corner of XY seems to stall a motor. Suggestions?

Thank you. Mike
