I’m trying to bore hole in spoil board and after spindle spins up positions itself to correct location then just starts to adjust Z axis down it throws that error. I am able to home and jog in all axis fine so I assume it is something with the gcode I generated. How do I debug this?
Just tried it again after I had everything off and turned back on again and now it worked?? Why would it just start working after it kept failing on me before?
Now I tried rest of holes and is failing with error 1:
ALARM:1 (Hard limit has been triggered. Machine position is likely lost due to sudden halt. Re-homing is highly recommended.)
Even though I did an “outline” first which worked fine but then when I actually ran it it generated that error after moving about half way towards the front in Y direction.
It threw another motor fault 17 when I simply jogged Z axis manually down a bit. Cleared the error and it allowed me to jog z axis down without issues then. Should I be concerned about this flaky behavior?
Support is sending a new motor. It is also the only motor that makes a lot of weird noises occasionally. I had swapped cables with the X axis for testing as requested by support and it still made weird noises. I then had to show on the SLB-EXT when it did go into alarm 17 that there was these little tiny LEDs that would show which motor is faulting and it also showed the Z axis. Last item I had to do was send pictures of the top of the motor..
