My VFD is dead?

Hi, I finished my build and did all of the settings in gsender. I’m ready to make some saw dust be my vfd is blank, should there be numbers? Or is there a reset. I’ve called sienci labs two fridays in a row no answer. Need help thanks.

Hi Scott,

Welcome to the forum. We have a wide range of people here, with an even wider range of setups. Going from Chinese brand cncs with Korean made spindles shipped with classic Roman written manuals translated out of Mandarin by a German speaking Franchois living near the border of China to complete industrial beasts towing plasma burners around. They are all valid machines with valid fails and their own experts hanging around this place. You only have to reach them.

What I am trying to say is. Can you elaborate on your setup?
What machine, what spindle, what controller, what vfd, cad/cam etc?

Well it’s the new Alt mill 4 by 4 kit, I built it using the instructions from there site. All finished, moving in all directions like it’s supposed to, homing etc. While the whole time noticed nothing on the VFD, there is supposed to be numbers on the read out. Did I miss a setting in gsender?

Bummer, I don’t have such a fancy machine with a spindle. I can’t help with spindles and slb other that redirect you to the manual about setting up the spindle wich you prolly followed already.

I do hope you will get reactions from fancy machine owners.

You always can reach out to sienci directly via the contact form.
