@JFK Welcome to the group, Jack.

First things first. When you use the jog buttons and move the machine X" or Y", does it move the distance that you input?

If so, going back to vectric, what post processor are you using?

Glen,

Thanks, for your response. I did check the jog distance. It is incorrect.
Here’s the feedback that I received on line to correct the problem. I will try these solutions. Any other suggestions? Thank you Jack.

Altmill wrong jog distance

If your AltMill is jogging the incorrect distance, the issue is typically caused by incorrect motor DIP switch settings, blank firmware/jogging preset values in gSender, or physical slippage. [1]

  1. Check the Motor DIP Switches [1]
If your machine is moving the wrong distance constantly (e.g., exactly double or half of what you command), your driver board’s DIP switches are likely set incorrectly. Power off your controller and verify the switches on each motor driver: [1, 2, 3, 4]
    • X and Y Axis Motors: Switches 1 through 5 should be set to OFF, OFF, OFF, ON, ON.
    • Z Axis Motor: Switches 1 through 5 should be set to OFF, OFF, ON, ON, ON. [1]

  2. Verify gSender Jogging Presets & Firmware [1]
Incorrect distances in software can happen if the step values were accidentally erased or changed. [1, 2]
    • Open the Config or Firmware Tool in gSender.
    • Go to the Jogging Presets and ensure the values aren’t blank. Click Reset to Default to restore the factory settings. [1, 2]

@JFK I don’t have any other suggestions. Did you get these instructions from Sienci support?
