Not sure if this is a hardware or software issue. I am cutting a plaque and all my cuts are great until i get to the profile cut which cuts off the excess wood from project. It starts out following the toolpath and before it gets to the end of the profile cut on the x axis it starts cutting the y axis and cuts across my board. it is doing a smaller profile cut than programmed. I am using Longmill MK 2 30x30 with gsender and vcarve pro. This happened on a different project as well. all cuts were great until i tried to cut the profile cut and round the corners of the board. Any ideas???
Hey Michael,
If I have to quickly guess and assume things without asking I would point to your motor couplers slipping as being the problem.
Your profile toolpath might be a tit wee more agressive than your other toolpaths. That’s why the problem is only occurring during the cutout.
Testing this is easy.. just increase the number of passes on the profile toolpath and see if things change. If so… couplers, tighten.
Just a guess though!
@michaelmacd What is the size of the plaque? Are you, by any chance, hitting the end of the X travel?
I will leave this question in this category for now, but I doubt that this is a gSender issue.
hey there I increased the number of passes and tightened the couplers and it worked like a charm. thank you very much. I do appreciate you very much. God bless.
