Recent gSender issues

I’m having a major issue with my 48 x 30 Longmill CNC. After zeroing with the autotouch probe and the spindle moves to home postion. I then load the toolpath into gSender and run the toolpath outline using the “Outline” button on the screen. The spindle immediately moves to the front left corner at high speed and slams into the Y axis support. I’ve checked the hard and soft limits in g Sender and even resized the dimensions of the spoilboard in the gSender program and get the same results. The control on my machine is a LongBoard Rev. 1.4.3 with a manufacturing date of 8/26/2020. I know the board is old, but up until Sunday morning (8/31/25) it was operating properly.

Any suggestions on where to look next for possible fix?

Thanks

@FJanoch Are you using the lastest version of gSender - 1.5.4? If not, you should try it to see if it resolves your issue. If it does not, report back.

Yes, I’m using version 1.5.4 This issue started after loading the 1.5.4 version. I’ve also deleted the version that was downloaded and reloaded it early yesterday morning and getting the same results. Its acting like the program is not recognizing the hard and soft limits manually entered in to gSender.

Is there a “standard” setup for gSender using a Rev. 1.4.3 Longboard that I could try and manually enter into the 1.5.4 version?

I’ve placed an order with Sienci for the new SLB board and it is scheduled to arrive this Friday or Saturday.

@FJanoch If all was well before you installed 1.5.4, and if you are only looking for a solution to take you to when you install the SLB, if I were you, I would simply go back to whatever version of gSender was working for you before you installed 1.5.4.

If you decide to do that, be sure to read the instructions on the forum for going back to a previous version of gSender. A search will bring up what you need.

Hi all, since we’re gearing up for a new gSender Main release I’m digging through older topics that fell through the cracks to see if the problems are now resolved on new gSender or gSender Edge versions, or if they still are occurring and if so then we’d like to fix them up promptly if we can.

If you can give any response in the next week or so it’d be greatly appreciated :+1:
