Hi all,
I’m about to replace the linear bearings on the left Y-axis gantry of my AltMill 4x4 (the ball bearings have fallen out of one or both). Any tips/tricks for a smooth installation? Is it better to remove the existing bearings from the front or back of the track? What’s the minimum amount of disassembly I could get away with? Do I need to support the X-axis gantry while disassembling?
Any assistance from the community would be much appreciated!
