I have installed gsender 1.5.2 .It worked well at first,all was going well .The homing was working correct but when I put my curser over the bottom left button the machine took off and slamed in to the right corner.From then the machine could not home,the steeper motors just went in to a stuck mode.Has any body easle comme across this problem?
@nikellis Welcome to the group!
Have you moved the machine so that no switches are triggered? If I remember correctly Sainsmart has switches on both ends of an axis. I would think that you’d get an alarm or locked notice and be able correct it in gSender but if it hasn’t moved since the crash, I’d power down and move the axis by turning the lead screws till it’s off the switch(es).
This is just a shot in the dark type of suggestion but who knows it might work. When it’s off the switch check the switch for damage too. Maybe it has a light when triggered? It’s been quite awhile but I started with a Sainsmart 3018. It was a good little machine to get my feet wet in the CNC world.
I have tested the board and It just does not work for jogging and home position.I am now going to use a non Sainsmart board,which I have tested and it works fine.So having rewired the new switches,because that has two pin sockets.we should be off and running again?
@nikellis how have the results been for you?
