Second guessing assembly

I’m waiting on a replacement X motor (due to be delivered tomorrow afternoon) so I’ve had time to overthink everything I’ve done up to this point.

In the assembly instructions, when assembling the gantry you use a clamp to tighten up the face of the gantry on the motor side, then tighten the screws. Does the other side just get tightened up after or did anyone use a clamp to pair up the right side as well?

I took a look at mine and it was sitting cockeyed, so I loosened the screws and sucked it up with a clamp before tightening up the right side..it moved a good 1/16" or more and the right side is now square with the gantry plate.

Was this a legit concern or am I fiddling with things I should just leave be?

Thanks! (That dang motor needs to hurry up..

I only did the clamp on the side the assembly instructions stated to do so but have not verified any squareness yet. I did have major problem with the motors not sitting flush because that red plastic in the coupler was not sized exactly right which prevented the motors from sitting flush against the metal.
