Setting Z using a piece of paper, has issues

guys,
using gSender Edge.
i tried a few times to set my z using a peice of paper, i switch to precise speed mode.
and spindle starts to move down click by click, once it get to certin distance from the surface with the paper on it, it will switch on it’s own from going click by click slow speed to super fast decending and bashes your bit in the surface of the materal.
it happened twice, the origainal version don’t act this way.

@AndyV Just following up on this. Are you still experiencing this issue on the latest version of gSender, v1.5.3?

Just to close this, I’m fairly confident that what happened here was one of two things, either:

  1. While jogging down, the jog key or on-screen button was clicked too long resulting in a continuous jog movement. In this case we’ve made a new setting to address this here: GSender jogging bug holding the key down - #2 by chrismakesstuff
  2. While jogging, the ‘Rapid’ jog present was accidentally clicked instead of the Z- jog button, which meant that the next time you jogged it jogged far more than the smaller increments of the ‘Precise’ preset. We’ve since addressed this is 1.5.4 by swapping the two profiles so this misclick doesn’t happen anymore.
