SLB Ethernet connection issues

Hi Jim

Reviewing your post.

I assumed your ethernet switch to be an “unmanaged ethernet switch”? because my “unmanaged Netgear switch” doesn’t work! So I took the switch out of the equation.

On my minipc running gSender

One of my ethernet adapters(1) connects to my dhcp server at 192.168.50.xxx

I modified the SLB Firmware settings to match the ones you used.

300 = grblHAL
301= Static
302=192.168.6.1
303=192.168.6.1
304=255.255.255.0
305=23
307=80
308=21

I modified my second adapter(2) to connect to the SLB as you did with the following settings.

IP Address : 192.168.6.1
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.6.1

Under settings in gSender I modified the reconnect ip to be 192.168.6.1

Intially, I saw the same behaviour as you did!

Then I disabled my adapter1 , exited gsender, turn off the SLB
and turned the SLB back on and fired up gSender. And i’m connected.

Then I reenabled adapter 1 and everything works I have an internet connection as well as a SLB connection!

As long as I disable adapter 1 everytime I want to start a gsender session everything works.

I believe I need a managed switch to make this work in this instance as well as an SLB on the network. Dunno
