Hello!
I mostly use “Carbide Create v6” for the CAD & CAM.
When i need to do an “Advanced VCarve”, there is a 2 tool process
Clearing first with a Flat/DC 1/8" bit
then
the VCarve itself using a V-Bit.
In the past, i used a website (either online or via a saved/local copy works using independant Javascript file)
The site will detect the toolchanges and provide 2 or more GCode files.
I recently experimented with Gsender (Either v1.4.11 or v1.5.0-Edge-4)
Both can be configured to detect a tool change and react on it.
GSender:
GSender Edge:
I have read/learned about Tool changes at:
From the descriptions about:
Standard Re-zero
or
Flexible Re-zero
I think i understand, but the real life steps no not fit what i am expecting.
Note: I am using a real project, but i am “air-cutting” so no possible goofs here (or am I the goof?)
When the Job starts from first line, there is a Line counter + Time remaining
Is this for the entire job? or GSender already knows it is going to encounter a tool change?
When the M0x is reached (Time for tool change) i get a popup: (see this one from Gsender Edge, my latest test)
The explanation provided by the popup (Aside from the Typo in the popup) looks straight forward.
Then my eyes are on the buttons… Hmmmm…
Close windows: Means? End of job? or Let me do my Toolchange and i will resume with the RESUME button on the Gsender GUI once i am ready?
If i do so, i feel the job has ended. nothing tells me I am in a special mode awaiting me to finish to return to normality post toolchange… (If i remember properly, there is no Resume button, but the "Start Job " button (or it is already too late).
Resume Job: Means? Continue with no ToolChange? or Let me do my Toolchange while this popup is active using the Move & Zero & Probe buttons on the Main Gsender GUI? and i will resume with the RESUME button on the Gsender GUI once i am ready? (modal Popup?)
So to make it short (Probably already too late for that )
Am I understand this right? Am I doing it Right?
Should there be a Step-By-Step?
Or am I getting confused because GSender Edge has a operational variant and/or possibily a Bug?
Any feedback, recommendations or link would be appreciated before i do my next experimentations!
Thanks in advance.
