Toolsetter on a FoxAlien

Hi guys I’m new here. I have a simple cnc machine (foxalien). I added a tool changer spindle. I only have one input for a touch plate. What I like to have is also a tool setter. I have a very dumb idea and hope you don’t burn me to the ground :smile:

Is it possible to put the tool setter parallel with the touch plate. In both cases when triggered a signal will be sent to the controller. Gsender expects a touch plate signal or a tool setter signal, and will take the corresponding action. Question is can both functions triggered by the same trigger port

More than likely …. I do that with my Altmill. Having said that, I do not know what the circuitry in the Foxalien looks like so I can’t confirm it for certain.

Jens, I did some testing and you’re right it works. Need to find out the workflow and get familiar but the technical part is working
