i use a playstation controller with gsender i would like to get past the first lot of options as i cannot configure my controller with 1.4.7 it worked fine with version 1.2.2
Thatās one of the many reason Iāve stayed with V1.2.2
Have you noticed this is still true as of the newer 1.5.# gSender versions?
I was able to make a Logitech F710 wireless controller āworkā with gSender 1.5.x on Sienciās gControl computerā¦
⦠at least for some really unusable definition of that word. First one has to find out that you press the ālogitechā button to pair with the USB dongle, then one has to dink around with the slide switch on the back, and then go back and forth a few times removing and inserting the usb plug until Windows goes āboingā and recognizes it. Once it is discovered/connected and set up in gSender, X,Y and Z motion is jerky and lags by large fractions of a second or more. Even with 500% in the dynamic setting as recommended, it stutters, lags so much that it isnāt usable for fine work; worse, it randomly sends the machine into uncontrolled motion that results in an E-Stop crash against the limits. Sometimes the gControl system boots up and doesnāt recognize the controller and I have to re-pair the wireless dongle.
Other than the comedic value when our son comes by and laughs at dad playing video games, the combination of game controller and gSender has turned out to be a complete waste of time and money.
@JPlocher as of as of 1.6.0 Edge 3 we added in an override toggle to turn the thumbsticks from propotionate speed behaviour to on/off jogging to remedy instance where people were having this issue so that jogging can at least be usable for them. Could you give it a shot and let us know if itās fixed at least in that regard for you? @walid_kayhan
