I’ve gotten everything put together on my Altmill 4x4 but I have a consistent recurring issue where the lefthand side of the y-axis is essentially being pulled along by the right hand side. The result is a really jerky motion from the back to front and vice versa. Machine moves smoothly in every other axis.
I’ve tried adjusting the bushing on the motor tightening/loosening the lead screw but struggling to find a good resource or video that explains what might be causing it.

Sounds like you might have a motor issue. Have you checked all connections at that motor? I had a similar issue on my shapeoko. ait turned out to be a recessed pin in the connector.
I just pulled the motor and reinstalled it. But I’ll check the pins. Thanks for the suggestion.
Had the same issue on my Altmill. Discovered the left side Y axis power connector had somehow disconnected itself. Plugged it back in and worked great. Agree with the above, probably a loose wire. Might want to check continuity between the SLB end and the motor end if nothing is loose.

The power had come loose at the controller board. Once I found it and plugged it back in, the machine works fine.
I had the same problem first run. Same fix, a cable came loose on the controller board.
