Alarm 10 on XYZ probing

Homed my machine, job set up on spoilboard, using the auto zero touchplate, does the Z ok moves slightly to the left and stops giving me a alarm 10. what gives ?

forgot to mention I was zeroing for XYZ

@31fordtruck See if this thread applies, although he was getting Alarm 2, not 10

@31fordtruck Now that I think about it, maybe you’re just going outside the machine limits when zeroing. What is the machine coordinate for X (the grey value in gSender) when you position the mill inside the touch plate? If it’s less than the distance it has to move before hitting the touch plate wall, then you’re reaching the limit before hitting the plate.

well I found the problem.

I had updated gsender from 1.5.3 to 1.5.7 and had not cut any file since until today, finally decided to check my probe status and it had changed to the standard touch plate instead of auto zero. Now it works ok . To be honest I had been changing a few settings to learn about the different settings, maybe I forgot to change it back,
