Have an Altmil2’x4’, G sender and Vetric. Ran a file yesterday. Shut everything down correctly. Restarted today. Same file hit run and everything worked but the spindle is not turning. Controller says ro.oo. What am I doing wrong and how do I fix it?
@Groucho194 In what order did you restart? Order is important. VFD first, then SLB.
@Groucho194 And if you did follow the correct order, can you run the spindle from gSender without any g-code? At the bottom-right of gSender, select the Spindle tab, and use the buttons to start, stop, change speed, etc. If it runs from there, it should run from the g-code.
Hello Mr. Ott:
Thank you for responding. I always run power, then VFD then the computer with the the G sender software. The VFD says r0.00. I will try your suggestion right now. At 71 computers are difficult. I have downloaded the exe software to reset the VFD but have not used it yet.
Thanks Mike
Same with mine. Just stopped turning. I wrote Sienci they are sending me a new board. After reading so many of these I am beginning to wonder how fragile these boards are.
Here is another and there are most likley more:
Also if it helps you can find the VFD settings here:
Just to be absolutely clear you must turn on the VFD before the SLB-EXT. When I turn my VFD on it starts flashing 0000 and then immediately after I turn on the SLB-EXT it starts flashing 7500 which is the default minimum rpm for the 1.5kW Sienci spindle.
