Fox Alien Vasto XL/Vasto XXL:

Good day mates. I am trying to set up gsender for an Explorer Post to building robots.

I come from Vectric and Mach III so bare with me.

I need the configuration info for Vasto XL/Vasto XXL so they can make their robot parts.

I can save a GBRL file and load it into gSender and all is looking good. I just need to configure gsender for this machine. Fox Manual is not very helpful. gSender is by far the nicest machine control SW I have found and will be easy for Explorers to use once configured.

@Tim-O Welcome to the group, Tim.
I’ve moved your question to the gSender Question category. It will get more exposure here.
When you say that you want to configure gSender for this machine, specifically what are you looking for? When you installed gSender, it read the firmware settings from your controller. So, are you saying that you want to change those firmware settings?

It may be my issue. The machine is at the Explorer Post and I only have access during their meetings.

It may be fine once I can connect to the machine. GBRL machine is new to me. I can tell that gsender will be much easier to use once we get it configured. Thanks Tim

I am on lookout for small rigid GBRL machine I can have here to get used to this setup. That way I can have more time to get up to speed on their machine. All mine are Mach III or iV CNC’s.

Hi Tim,

I did a forum search and found a post from @_Michael that refered to fox alien config page for all their machines. Is this what you are looking for?

The vasto machines are listed here with a downloadable zip file.

The same legendary michael posted a solution in a topic about using gsender without a cnc connected. That might be something you could look into, for practise sake?

The grblHAL simulator can also be used to try out senders. Easiest is to use a network (raw telnet) connection.

Yes thank this is what I needed!
