We figured out what was causing the screen issue with some gControl panels.
After troubleshooting the returned units, we saw that the standoff motherboard spacer was hitting the screen board, causing the “short circuit” in the screen (I am sharing a couple images to clarify what I’m saying here).
As a solution, we replaced the spacer with a shorter one to avoid it happening again, but I also tested only cutting the tip of the screw using pliers, and it worked too.
What we can do is ask you to ship the unit back to us for a replacement (we are going to send a return label by email), or if you are comfortable fixing it as shown, you can, but if it doesn’t work, we can send the return label as informed and we more than welcome to send a replacement as soon as possible.
